“Our payroll services contract was coming to an end, and we were going to market to mainly achieve two things – one was to gain greater visibility and control, and we also wanted to test the market from a competitive cost perspective. By engaging with CXC, we were able to achieve greater cost savings, and on top of that, through the service levels and service level agreements, we were able to achieve the visibility and cost control.
We had a population of about 150 contractors, which we transitioned over a four-week period. During this time we had regular meetings with CXC to make sure that everyone was on the same page, which included the outgoing provider, CXC and Optus. We also managed any risks through the entire process.
We transitioned 99% of all our contractors. It was really important that there was no impact to the business. We made sure there was a change and communication process to our line managers so they understood the change and the reason why, and also with our contractors, making sure they understood their contractual arrangements.
I wouldn’t change anything about the transition. CXC was organised and had tight comms, making it a fairly simple process.”
