CXC has received the Graduate Talent Development Award from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), recognising our work in recruiting, onboarding and supporting graduate professionals as part of ADB’s future workforce plans.
The award reflects the work carried out across the program since late 2024, from university engagement and candidate attraction through to onboarding graduates into ADB teams.
How the program started
The work began in December 2024 with the proposal for the IDIQ Future IT Leaders Graduate Program.
The aim was straightforward: give graduates a clear route into IT roles at ADB while helping ADB build a stronger pipeline of early-career talent.
In January 2025, CXC met with key stakeholders onsite to agree the program objectives and delivery approach. From there, the focus moved to reaching students directly through university events and campus engagement.
Taking the program to students
In March 2025, CXC took part in the University of the Philippines Diliman Job Fair. Our team managed the booth, coordinated event logistics and spoke with students about graduate opportunities with ADB through CXC.
In June, we hosted IT students from Western Mindanao State University for a university site visit. CXC coordinated the schedule, student activities, catering and logistics, giving students the chance to learn more about the program and the roles available.
A month later, we delivered “APC Launchpad: Meet ADB on Campus and Explore Global Careers with CXC!” at Asia Pacific College.
CXC managed the event from planning through to hosting, with a focus on showing students the types of roles available and what working with ADB could involve.
By August 2025, the Graduate Program was featured at the ADB Summit as a success story, covering how the program had moved from proposal stage into university partnerships, campus events and graduate placements.
The results so far
The program has already produced strong hiring results:
- 6 graduates have been onboarded and are now working within ADB teams
- 1 candidate is waiting to start
- 1 candidate is pending an offer
The program has also helped CXC and ADB build relationships with universities including the University of the Philippines Diliman, Western Mindanao State University and Asia Pacific College.
That work has continued into 2026. In August 2026, CXC took part in further graduate attraction and employer-branding activity, continuing to build relationships with universities and prospective candidates.
Recognition for the work behind the program
Graduate recruitment can look simple from the outside. In practice, there is a lot that has to happen between attracting a student’s interest and getting them successfully into a role. There are university relationships to manage, events to organise, candidates to support and onboarding processes to coordinate. For this program, that work was carried out across CXC, ADB and our university partners over many months.
Receiving the Graduate Talent Development Award is a welcome recognition of that effort and, more importantly, of the results the program has delivered.
We’re grateful to ADB for the recognition, to the universities that worked with us, and to the graduates who joined the program.
There is still more to do, and that is a good thing. The goal was never to run a single graduate campaign. It was to create a program that could keep bringing new IT talent into ADB and give more graduates a genuine start to their careers.
