Who is managing the health and safety for your contingent workers?
CXC has a five-step scale for assessing health and safety risk for on-hire personnel activities. The level of risk mitigation imposed on the activity is measured by job role analysis, desk audits of overall client health and safety systems and site visits to assess the relative risk of each role or site. The higher the number, the more steps will be taken to manage the risk.
For example, in Australia, CXC partner with Konekt to enhance our in-house health and safety consultant’s expertise and to provide overall guidance and day-to-day involvement in workers’ compensation claim management.
We measure an incident rate (TRIFR) among the contingent worker population that is consistently significantly lower than that recorded for the remainder of the client’s total workforce.
“We’ve been very happy with how quickly the CXC on-site team have become part of our team, and how well the model has been adopted by the business. CXC are high-touch with our contractors, they’re responsive and available. The model really works.”
