AUSTRALIA | VISA 400

Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) Fast-track overseas expertise for short-term, high-impact assignments

The Visa 400 is designed for businesses needing to bring in international professionals for urgent, highly skilled projects lasting up to 6 months. It’s ideal for tight project deadlines, rare skills, and knowledge transfer roles.

Who it’s for

  • Time-critical, specialised projects
  • Companies filling hard-to-source skills gaps
  • Teams needing overseas experts to train or support local staff

How it works

  • No employer sponsorship needed
  •  Generally 3 months, up to 6 months in special cases (non-renewable)
  • Fast processing via CXC’s immigration partners

  • Manages the visa process end-to-end
  • Engages the contractor via our PAYG model
  • Offers optional travel, onboarding, and compliance support

Visa 400 - Costs

Upfront costs Government visa application fee (fixed per applicant). Immigration consultant/legal fees, which can vary depending on role complexity, contract length justification, and whether dependants (e.g. spouse/children) are included. 

Ongoing fees: CXC payroll, compliance and engagement fee (charged as a % of salary). Covers payroll, superannuation, insurances, payment terms, and compliance obligations.

Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Secure long-term international talent for critical skill needs

CXC, as an accredited sponsor under an On-Hire Labour Agreement, can support occupations on Australia’s Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL).It’s a compliant, scalable way to build specialist capability for ongoing growth.

Who it’s for

  • Companies unable to fill roles locally
  • Startups without sponsorship capability
  • Enterprises scaling for multi-year projects

How it works

  • Requires employer sponsorship (CXC is the sponsor)
  • Valid for 1 to 4 years
  • Meets salary, skills, and Fair Work compliance requirements

What CXC does

  • Acts as the legal visa sponsor
  • Manages payroll, super, insurances, and tax compliance
  • Supports application via Absolute Immigration partnership

Visa 482 - Costs

Upfront costs: Government nomination and visa application fees (fixed per applicant), immigration consultant/legal fees, and other mandatory charges. Costs vary depending on role, contract length justification, and whether dependants (e.g. spouse/children) are included.

Ongoing costs: CXC payroll, compliance and sponsorship management fee (percentage of salary/day rate). Covers payroll, super, insurances, payment terms, and compliance obligations. 

Note: In some cases, a portion of the upfront costs may be payable by the worker. 

Final pricing depends on the role and assignment length. A tailored quote is provided after scoping. 

NEW ZEALAND | SPECIFIC PURPOSE VISA

Project-based visa for defined business needs

The Specific Purpose Work Visa is ideal for businesses needing international expertise for short- to mid-term assignments in New Zealand. It provides a compliant path for companies to bring in contractors without committing to long-term residency pathways.

  • Companies managing fixed-term or seasonal projects
  • Organisations needing trainers, technical support, or setup assistance
  • New entrants establishing operations in NZ

How it works

  • Project-based — typically 6–12 months
  • Requires clarity on assignment purpose and duration
  • Allows for role-specific visa allocation without permanent hiring
