Derek is Opptly’s Chief Revenue Officer. He has nearly two decades of experience spanning recruitment, business development, enterprise global sales, EOR/AOR, and technology within the staffing industry.
In his most recent role as Senior Vice President, Global Enterprise at People2.0, Derek was instrumental in steering the sales team through a period of unprecedented hyper-growth, catapulting annual revenues from $600 million to over $4 billion. Under his leadership the team formed key partnerships, refined global sales strategies, and nurtured crucial enterprise accounts, setting new benchmarks for excellence and innovation in the process.
Prior to his tenure at People2.0, Derek played a pivotal role on the leadership team at Qwil, a leading payments and liquidity fintech platform. His efforts were crucial in securing over $250 million through structured credit facilities, venture debt, and equity, driving the company forward in its mission to transform financial transactions.
